Today is normally one of the longer days of the trek, with a decent hill climb in the last half. We started out nice and early and chatted with some other Australians, one of which is climbing Everest, and her family is trekking into base camp with her.
There are 4 Australian women out of the 7 Australians this year (including me) and I met 2 of them along this day. It was so nice to meet and have a chat with lots of people who had been following me on social media for a while! It’s so crazy to me how social media allows us to connect with amazing people from all sides of the world that I never would have otherwise met.
We continued on up the hill and everyone did great! Once we arrived in Namche, we settled into our teahouse and I went over to my fav place, the Sherpa Barista Cafe (where I am writing this from) and met more old friends and did some more schoolwork.
