Today we walked from Debuche (3800m) to Dingboche (4400m).
We started the morning very cheery by singing happy birthday to Chris!!! We left early because we knew the weather would get pretty bad later on. We took some selfies before leaving and walked on mostly flat terrain, with good views of Ama Dablam.
The clear weather did not last long because as we were reaching the 4000m point it started to snow and get very cold! Thankfully we had tea (and MANY cups of hot chocolate) in one of the villages along the way. Of course Craig had to have a nap, but we had places to be – so wakey wakey! We stuffed down some lollies and set off!!
We jammed to some Katy Perry, Pitbull, Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars and ABBA as we trekked into Dingboche with style!!
We payed a long awaited visit to the famous café 4410 and had some deluxe hot chocolates and played 897462 games of Uno.
Dinner that night was a big time struggle because of the altitude. But we all had room for a single spoonful of Chris’ surprise birthday cake!!
