Whoohoo! Confirmation that Bianca is now at Camp 4. This is approximately 8000 metres!!!
I spoke to her on the radio just now and she sounded really good – said it was hard she made good time. Actually Paul and I were both on the radio at once to her! Nothing like having both your parents give you advice at the same time – as well as congratulate her on getting this far!
Now that Bianca’s there, she’s inside a tent and focussed on rehydrating (which requires melting snow and cooking up soups etc), eating (hopefully she’ll be able to), and resting. She’ll be on a low-flow of oxygen while in her tent.
