Bianca is planning to leave for the summit in at 6:30pm local time – about 5 minutes from when I’m publishing this! We had her on the radio earlier – I heard a little bit and she sounded good. But I could hear Paul at camp 2 talking to her and giving her some words of encouragement. I’ve also had a few text messages via satellite with her with last minute reminders of things to take / prepare.
The climb to the summit usually takes 6-16 hours, but I think she’ll be something like 8-10 hours. Of course it depends on the conditions and we’ll see!
In any case, I’ll update here when I hear of progress. And hopefully her tracker will be working (but don’t panic if its not).
