Today is the long anticipated day that my mum would join my dad and I at Everest base camp!
After breakfast I walked down to the famous Everest Base Camp “rock” and I got to meet her, along side Kerry, her good friend from high school. It was so so nice and comforting, being able to see my mum again after so long. I gave her the biggest hug! Now I know that she will be based at base camp whenever I am doing something dangerous. Now that I am with her, I don’t feel as desperate to go back home, (even though I still miss my other family and friends of course) as much of my “home” is here with me now.
We had lunch and showed them around base camp a bit. I got to introduce Mum and Kerry to most of my friends here, that I have been “living” with for the past month. We had dinner and chatted, whilst we did crosswords. Mum and Kerry were very good so they helped us with them!
