I had the best sleep ever!! In the last 3-4 months of my Everest training, my sleep schedule was so messed up. Training so intensively, alongside balancing school is exhausting and affected my sleep too. So it feels amazing to be able to sleep properly here!
I slept through the start of breakfast, and sleepily walked into the dining tent. I ate then headed back to my sleeping tent to try to tidy it a bit. I turned my speaker up, and cleared up some space in my tent.
I then headed to the coffee tent, and did some schoolwork. Mum, Dad and I worked until lunch where everyone was super excited because we had burgers! Keep your expectations low, as Everest base camp burgers are not to the same standard as normal burgers.
I then spent some time editing and trying to post a tiktok, but it wouldn’t post :(. If you’ve come from my Instagram page, I also post on Tiktok! I post a lot more videos that give a better insight into expedition life. My account is @biancaaadler
I headed to the coffee tent to edit some more, and sat with Justin (USA), Juan (Argentina), Nehuén (Argentina) and Petrit (Kosovo). Justin, Juan and Nehuén are all guides (not here) and super strong and experienced climbers. It’s nice to hear about how they think about certain situations like how they plan their summit push or rotations.
Then came dinner, where Kristen and I have been trying to learn some Nepali.
We ate some chocolate around the heater and then went to bed!!
