Today we did an acclimatisation hike to Pumori ABC at 5700m
It was a bit annoying waking up again at base camp, since we were supposed to leave last night but couldn’t due to an avalanche. We made use of the day to acclimatise some more by hiking for the 3rd time to Pumori ABC. We did it with our friend from our Ama Dablam expedition, Ben. I felt really good, probably from having hiked quite a lot, and gotten my heart rate up! The hike was about 4 hours in total.
The hike was quite windy and cold, and even at base camp too!
We came back down in time for lunch, and I had a nap! I read my English school book, chatted with more friends about our acclimatisation plans, did some cross words, and went to bed!
It’s pretty cold tonight, I’ve got 2 hot water bottles in my sleeping bag, and a down jacket on!
