This is Fiona writing here – and it will be for a while now (unless Bianca somehow finds wifi at camp 2!).
Bianca and Paul have now left Basecamp – at about 1:20am. They’re now heading up through the icefall. They’ll have a break at camp 1, but then continue onto camp 2 where Bianca plans to rest for 2 nights.
They are with Pemba and Ngdu – Bianca climbed with Pemba last year as well.
Porridge for breakfast at 12:45am
Harnesses and boots on. Helmets and crampons go on next.
