Today we were lucky enough to get a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla! The whole group of 11 of us all made it, without being separated!!
We then had lunch in Lukla (2800m) and started day 1 of our trek to Phakding (2600m). We can already feel the thinner air a bit, but we are taking it very slow. The walk was about 8km, with some small ups and downs.
It was so nice to meet back up with Rajesh, who we climbed Ama Dablam with last October. He will trek into base camp with us, where we will meet our other Sherpa guides.
